  • Wednesday 25 November 2020 Single Covid19 case in Year 12 We have a single positive Covid19 case in Year 12. The parents/carers of students who have been in close contact with that student have been informed and those students have been told to self-isolate. If you have not been contacted, your child has not been in close contact with the infected student. In the mean time, please follow the advice in this article.
  • Thursday 19 November 2020 Council food voucher scheme from October We emailed parents and carers earlier today to provide details of the belated food voucher scheme the Council has put in place to support families with the cost of feeding students over the October half. The retrospective voucher codes (£15 per child) have been sent to families in receipt of Free School Meals. More information available here.

  • Monday 16 November 2020 Make your Mark Voting for Sixth Form students is now LIVE via Firefly! Please make sure you vote using link sent out to you by Mr Weaver as a task in Firefly and then mark the task as completed. Voting closes on the 30th November.
  • Sunday 15 November 2020 All of Year 10 must self-isolate We have a confirmed positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) at school over the weekend. Due to this, all Year 10 students will need to self-isolate until Tuesday 24th November. In line with the national guidance your child must stay at home and not go out during this isolation period.

Bordesley Green Girls' School has successfully dealt with previous malware attacks.   • Tuesday 3 November 2020 Make Your Mark Young people across the UK can now take part in the annual Make Your Mark ballot, the largest UK youth consultation of its kind. Students at Bordesley Green Girls School will this month be able to take part in this vote online. We look forward to our students getting involved in this and making their voices heard.

  • Monday 2 November 2020 Cold lunch today and tomorrow We would like to apologise for the unexpected disruption to our catering arrangements today due to a problem with the gas supply in our school kitchen. Our catering team had to think quickly and decided to make a tasty pasta salad for everyone and serve it with a side salad plus tray-baked cake and a bottle of still water. Click for details.

  • Tuesday 29 September 2020 Year 9 must self-isolate A a Year 9 student has tested positive for COVID-19. All Year 9 students will need to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from the last time of contact (Friday 25th September). Year 9 students will return to school on Monday 12th October 2020.

  • Friday 25 September 2020 Letter about expanded online lesson provision We have recently increased our provision of online lessons to enable learning to continue if any year group bubble is asked to self-isolate for 14 days. Classes will continue to operate online during this period at the scheduled time on your daughters’ timetable.
