HRB help deaf children in Syria
HRB Syria Appeal
In June & July, B.G.G.S students have been busy raising funds and resources for the charity Deaf Children's Association in Syria. The charity, founded by Feras Al-Mobayed has had a challenging three years, trying to get fundraising and donations off the ground for these vulnerable children.
The events at school were organised and managed by students from 9SIQ, H.R.B and the Year 12 Prefects. A total of £500.11 was raised through donations and ice-cream sales.
It has been amazing to witness the generosity and outpouring of support from the B.G.G.S community. Staff, students & their families have all been so kind. We reached our target of 30 rucksacks, hearing aid batteries and endless amount of stationery.
We hope to inspire other schools to follow in our footsteps and help raise awareness for deaf children in Syria.
